Cold Chain Temperature Tracking
User Guide on Managing Reefer Tracking
2 minute to read
Trucker Tools now offers real-time temperature tracking. Follow this guide to create and monitor sensitive, temperature controlled loads.
1 Create Track with Trailer Number
The trailer number will be prioritized over the truck number IF the carrier is telematics enabled AND if we are getting temp tracking. You must use the trailer number.
2 Set the Temperature Range
Minimum and maximum temperature will automatically capture from the TMS when you create the track. This can be edited in our portal if your TMS does not support a range. You will be notified when the internal temperature of the trailer goes out of this range.
3 Monitor Multi-Zone Tracking
Trucker Tools will support multi-zone tracking for those devices that send us that data. If the device does not, everything will show as zone 1 in our portal.
4 See Temperature Specific Data
Notifications and statuses will be sent via email and visible within the Trucker Tools portal. Temperature data will display in TMS as a status.
5 See Historical Temperature Details
Select “View Details” to get a detailed report of all the temperature readings from inside the trailer from beginning to end. Each reading will be time stamped. Location will display when a location ping is associated with the temperature reading.
