# When do postings expire?

1 minute to read

- Postings via the **DAT One website** expire at **midnight of the latest availability** **date**, unless that is more than 8 days from the date it was initially posted (postings can only be active for 8 days max). You need to re-create the posting if you need it active after the 8 days.
- Postings via a **REST API integration** expire at **midnight of** **the latest availability date**, unless that is more than 8 days from the date it was initially posted (postings can only be active for 8 days max). You need to re-create the posting if you need it active after the 8 days.
- Postings via a **SOAP API integration** expire at **midnight the** **day they are posted** regardless of the pick-up dates. You'll need to resend the posting the next day if you want it to stay active on the load board.
- Postings via an **FTP/SFTP integration** expire at **midnight the day** **they are posted** regardless of the pick-up dates. You'll need to resend them the next day if you want them to remain active.

If you’re unsure which integration type your TMS uses, contact your TMS provider.

**Note**: _Expired_ _postings must be deleted first to re-use the_ _Reference ID. You can delete manually via DAT One or via_ _your TMS. Otherwise, Expired postings are automatically deleted after about 48 hours._
