# Rateview URL Integration

**RateView URL Integration** allows TMS users to link directly to DAT RateView. It provides quick access to rate data for specific lanes and can automatically log users in for a smoother experience. If the user isn't logged in, they'll be directed to the DAT login page first.

### Key Features

- **Direct Access:** Provides a link that opens RateView with a preloaded lane, facilitating quick access to detailed rate information.
- **User Credentials:** If automated login is enabled, it must use credentials specific to the individual user to comply with licensing agreements. Group logins are not permitted.
- **Use Approved URLs Only:** Only documented URLs should be used for integration as other URLs might change without notice.
- **Manual Activation Required:** A user must manually click the link. Do not use for automated multi-lane lookups—use DAT Connexion for that.
- **Testing Required:** Integrations must be tested and reviewed by the DAT Product Manager before release.

### URL Format

Use this format to link to RateView:

https://iq.dat.com/rateview/origincity-st~destinationcity-st~Eqtype

- Use a **dash (-)** between city and state.
- Use a **tilde (~)** between origin, destination, and equipment type.
- For cities with dashes in their names, replace the **dash (-)** with an **underscore (_)**.
  - Example: Bois-Franc, PQ  → bois_franc-pq
